Professor Pietro Mortini, Ambassador of the Sovereign Order of Malta to the Republic of Croatia, has stood out for his dedication to the Order’s missions, particularly in critical and emergency situations, and in promoting human dignity.

During the COVID-19 crisis, Ambassador Mortini led crucial initiatives, including the introduction of psychological support for the most vulnerable, which was offered during periods of epidemiological isolation to support affected communities.

He was also a strong advocate for activities aimed at protecting life, with a special focus on advancing fetal surgery for central nervous system malformations, thus contributing to scientific progress and the training of experts in this field.
